Morison's practice is centred around his horticultural activities on his rented garden plot in Birmingham (see profile in AM258). The cards have become a medium of communicating his worries, successes and failures. this particular card reads 'Ivan Morison is concerned by a powdery mildew that has appeared on his green bush marrows'. Upstairs in the Green Room, the sentence has been painted on the walls, continuing the space of the garden upon the very architecture of the gallery space. The condition of one of these marrows is rendered clearly in the tradition of horticlutural illustration, a discipline he has been attending classes in......"
