"IF YOU spotted a man selling fruit and vegetables on St George Street last week you weren't seeing things and no, Norwich market isn’t relocating.

The stall was actually part of the Outwardbound exhibition currently showing at the Norwich Gallery and the stall holder was actually artist Ivan Morison.

'I bought all my stock from Mr Fruity' explained Mr Morison who comes from Birmingham.

'I’ve got a flower stall in Birmingham which is what gave me the idea to set up a fruit and veg stall here', he continued. 'I am really selling the fruit and vegetables and I think my prices are quite reasonable. The stall is running alongside my exhibition of work inside the gallery.'

'The artichokes have been going down a storm,' revealed the artist.

But Mr Morison is no newcomer to the vegetable trade he keeps his own allotment in which last year he grew a crop of red flower cabbages. Sadly the crop failed but the cabbages fuelled another project a series of drawings which is also showing at the Norwich Gallery.

'There were too many slugs and the crop wasn’t very good it's all about aspects of success and failure,' explained Mr Morison who was remaining optimistic about his own market stall.

Outwardbound is currently at the Norwich Gallery, St George Street..."
